hola chicas.

i wanted to touch base here again, for the second time, ever.

i went stargazing last night.

it was INTENSE.

i won't bore you with the mushy details but it seriously kicked ass.

i picked last night because it was a new moon and i drove waaaay the hell out to the middle of nowhere on the 1, yes sarah, THE 1, halfway to santa cruz (look on a map) and found a beach access point where i could park and then me and kyte walked out towards the ocean.

at one point i heard a deep loud ship horn and that was amazing

and the sounds of the waves and the salty air... oops, i'm getting mushy...

i got really scared though because i was completely alone in PITCH BLACK DARKNESS and it was so quiet and the sky was so massive and the stars were so bright and numerous and i swear i felt the earth rotating and so i ended up running back to the car really really fast in a spooked panic with stupid visions of sea monsters chasing me, kyte thought that part was fun, so i don't want to go by myself again.

this means that i need y'all to come visit soon.

so we can go stargazing.

and constellation looking.

it truly blew my mind.

enchanted rock had intense skies when me and jeff and luis went camping but there was something about last night... i think it was the energy of the pacific ocean that was so overwhelming.

the heavens over the ocean.

sarah, i hope you feel better before your trip ends.

i feel really super bad for you and i'm glad you got an extra day to chill and recover.

you should record your voice the way it sounds right now and use it to call in sick to work in the future because, i hate to say it, you sound really fucking awful.

makes me get a little choked up, in a sympathetic way, not gagging way, because i KNOW your throat must be raw and painful as hell for it to sound so rough.

i'm sure flynn will be more than willing to bring you tea and crackers in bed when you get home.
